Variations in tone and saturation create depth beneath the brushwork, while more open passages allow the underlying color to remain active.

Layered linear brushwork moves across the surface in directional passages, lines overlap and disperse across the surface, creating changing relationships between density, transparency and light as the eye moves through the composition. Blue Chiffon No.8 is part of an ongoing investigation of layered burshwork, organic abstraction, atmosphere and perception. Blue Chiffon No.8 can be installed as a statement piece or with other works from the series. See less
