A substantial Italian onyx jewelry box, Postmodern design period or '70s Modern period, circa mid to late-20th century, Italy. Box has a natural varied coloration and veining in shades of light green, white, russet, cream, and soft flesh tones. The rectangular form features a fitted lid with a semi-rounded shaped base, polished. The interior offers space for rings, bracelets, a pearl necklace, a watch, etc., or small keepsakes, making it both a functional storage piece and an elegant decorative object. The weight and cool touch of the onyx give it a luxurious presence, while the unique veining ensures no two boxes are ever alike. A nice addition to a vanity, dressing table, desk, etc.
