This is a striking vintage porcelain teacup, featuring a dramatic flambé glaze and applied beast-head handles. The cup is of a rounded, bowl-like form with a short foot and two prominent, stylized animal-head handles applied to the sides, finished in a pale yellow-ochre glaze. The body and interior are covered in a spectacular streaky flambé glaze, a stunning mix of deep indigo, black, and milky pale blue that creates a natural, cascading "waterfall" or splashed pattern—a result of the kiln transformation process. This glaze effect is highly prized in Chinese ceramics for its unpredictable and unique beauty. The unglazed foot ring reveals a pale, sandy clay body. This is a tactile and decorative piece, perfect for tea ceremonies or as a collectible display object.
