Decorative architectural model by Authentic Models of Zeewolde, Netherlands, depicting a domed neoclassical observatory or rotunda. Constructed from stained wood, the model features a symmetrical arrangement of turned columns supporting an elevated arcade, twin staircases rising toward a central entrance, and a dramatic open lattice dome composed of curved ribs and intersecting structural members. A stepped oval base anchors the composition, while visible pegged and pinned joinery reinforces the handcrafted character of the piece. Inspired by neoclassical and Beaux-Arts architectural forms, the model functions as a sculptural tabletop object with strong architectural presence.
