Handmade folk art sandwich board costume modeled after the King of Hearts playing card, constructed as two large dimensional panels joined by fabric shoulder straps for wearable display. Each panel features a high-relief interpretation of the familiar mirrored king figure, complete with crown, sword, chalice, and red heart symbols. The sculpted decoration is hand-painted in cream, blue, red, and yellow with a deliberately bold, simplified treatment designed to remain highly visible when worn. Likely created for a parade, carnival, theatrical production, promotional event, or costume, the unusual oversized construction allows the piece to function today as a distinctive piece of dimensional folk art or wall decor.
