This is a striking vintage Chinese bronze sculpture depicting the classic mythological motif of a dragon and a phoenix facing a central flaming pearl. Known as "龙凤呈祥" (Long Feng Cheng Xiang), this scene symbolizes harmony, auspiciousness, and marital bliss in Chinese culture. The dragon, with detailed scales and a dynamic coiling posture, is positioned on one side, while the phoenix, featuring finely rendered feathers and spread wings, stands on the other. Both mythical creatures are surrounded by stylized scrolling clouds and waves. The sculpture rests on a rectangular base inscribed with the four Chinese characters "龍鳳呈祥". The bronze exhibits a deep, dark patina with reddish-brown undertones and areas of lighter wear on the high points, giving it a rich antique character.
