Architectural mantel clock rendered in dense, highly textured tramp art carving, built up from layered chip-carved wood to form a cathedral-like façade. The case features deeply faceted geometric carving throughout, with arched doorways, stepped towers, and a central clock tower crowned by a scalloped arch motif. A round enamel dial signed "Kienzle" sits recessed within the central tower, framed by the carved surround. The front lower section opens to reveal a small compartment or drawer, constructed in matching layered carving, emphasizing both decorative and functional design. The warm-toned wood shows rich patina across the peaks and valleys of the carving, highlighting the depth and hand-worked nature of the piece.
A small, handwritten note on the interior give the purchase date and buyer's name.
