A substantial studio pottery bowl with a softly irregular cylindrical form and a richly contrasting glaze treatment. The exterior is finished in a warm cream glaze heavily speckled with brown and charcoal, while the interior shifts to earthy ochre, mustard, and olive tones.
The hand-thrown construction is visible throughout, with an intentionally irregular rim and subtle variations in form and surface that emphasize the piece’s handmade character. Areas of glaze pooling and natural firing variation create additional depth around the interior and rim.
The underside bears an incised geometric maker’s mark, though the artist has not been identified.
With its earthy palette and sculptural proportions, the piece works beautifully as a decorative bowl, small planter pot, or standalone studio ceramic.
