Striking pair of large-scale vintage Chinese porcelain table lamps featuring elegant pale celadon grounds richly decorated in cobalt blue with birds, flowering peonies, foliage, and botanical motifs.
The substantial baluster-form porcelain bodies are beautifully detailed from every angle, with each lamp presenting a different pictorial arrangement while maintaining a cohesive matched-pair design. Decorative pierced blue porcelain handles accent the necks, while each lamp rests on a substantial dark carved wood display base with carved jade finials.
The combination of soft celadon, saturated cobalt blue, and warm mahogany-toned wood makes this pair especially versatile for traditional, chinoiserie, Hollywood Regency, transitional, or collected interiors.
Their generous scale makes them particularly effective on a large console, buffet, bedroom chest, or pair of substantial bedside tables.
