Titled "The Healing Arts" (Published in 2000), this masterful artwork captures a beautifully detailed, whimsical backyard scene where children use their vibrant imaginations to run a make-believe emergency room hospital, complete with a makeshift helicopter transport system. Unlike the widely distributed paper lithographs, this piece is a highly coveted, limited-edition canvas transfer. It is strictly numbered 296 out of a small global run of only 395 impressions. This specific piece features the ultimate collector's premium: it is hand-signed by Bob Byerley on the reverse of the canvas with the inscription: “Personally Enhanced by Byerley Studios.” This indicates that after the canvas transfer process, Byerley manually returned to this piece with oil paints to add unique hand-painted texture, highlights, and individual brushstrokes—effectively bridging the gap between a standard replica print and a one-of-a-kind original oil painting. The artwork comes housed in its gorgeous, gallery-grade presentation. It features a heavy, ornate gold leaf frame adorned with classic corner scrolling, complemented by an elegant cream linen liner that adds deep visual dimension. The piece is in excellent vintage condition, meticulously preserved, and comes complete with its original Certificate of Limitation & Authenticity (COA). The hand-enhanced canvas transfer surface is in immaculate condition. The oil highlights, texture, and colors applied by Bob Byerley remain vibrant, crisp, and completely free of cracking, fading, flaking, or lifting from the canvas matrix. The canvas is tautly mounted and well-preserved. The premium wood frame is structurally sound, sturdy, and securely supports the artwork. The presentation features a classic, factory-applied antiqued/distressed finish with intentional subtle green undertones showing through the ornate gold leaf to mimic an authentic aged patina. The cream linen liner is tightly wrapped, and does have one very small orange spot in the top right corner (see pictures). The backing material shows standard, age-appropriate light wear from hanging. The original Certificate of Limitation & Authenticity (COA) has been preserved separately to ensure its pristine condition. The handwritten artist signature and studio inscription on the reverse canvas remain clear and perfectly legible. Canvas Size: 30" H x 24" W. Framed Dimensions: 38.5" H x 32.5" W x 2.5" D See less
