A newly restored pair of postmodern Parsons-style lounge or club chairs by Drexel from their Contemporary Classics collection, made in the United States c. early 1980s.
The chairs feature extra-wide seats with plush 6-inch cushions, making for an exceptionally comfortable sit. Their architectural frames, broad upholstered arms, and substantial proportions echo Milo Baughman, while the fully upholstered construction gives the design a distinctly 1980s character.
Both chairs are newly reupholstered in a soft, chevron-patterned chenille fabric that compliments the postmodern aesthetic. They are structurally solid and present in like-new condition.
One chair retains its original Drexel tag. The tag on the other chair is lost to history. We used the original upholstery backer on both chairs, as it shows where the tag originally was.
