Additional Details:
Whimsical and surreal ceramic sculpture by David "D.T." Keyes, incorporating a hybrid mechanical-animal form with strong narrative presence. The piece features a stylized bear head emerging from a cylindrical housing, opposed by a small bird figure, suggesting tension or interaction. Above, a sculpted female bust with flowing, ribbon-like extensions integrates into ornate, scroll-like elements that connect the composition. The glaze palette blends soft whites with blue accents and subtle mottling, giving the surface a slightly ethereal, almost weathered appearance. Signed "D.T. Keyes" along the lower edge, the work reflects the artist's background in ceramics and sculptural storytelling, combining figurative elements with abstract mechanical forms.
