Vintage Frederick Cooper table lamp featuring a striking hexagonal Chinoiserie body finished in black with intricate gilt and red Asian-inspired figural and botanical decoration. The architectural shape is accented by a beautifully aged gilt base and antique-brass-tone hardware.
The lamp is topped with a softly pleated ivory/beige fabric shade and coordinating metal ball finial, which gives it a layered, collected appearance. Its smaller scale makes it especially versatile for a bedside table, library, desk, console, bar cabinet, or styled into a traditional bookshelf arrangement.
A beautiful example of Frederick Cooper decorative lighting, combining Chinoiserie, Hollywood Regency, and traditional design influences. It would fit especially well in Ralph Lauren-inspired, English country, Grandmillennial, Regency, or eclectic interiors.
