Unusual sideboard in rosewood with metal legs, Denmark 1960s. A distinctive Danish modern sideboard characterized by its elegant proportions, beautifully figured rosewood and unusual combination of warm wood with slender metal legs.
The sideboard features three sliding doors with recessed sculpted handles, creating a clean and uninterrupted front. Behind the doors is a practical and spacious interior with adjustable shelving and four pull-out drawers, offering generous storage for a variety of purposes.
A particularly striking detail is the base, consisting of slender cylindrical metal legs finished with tapered rosewood feet. This unusual combination gives the cabinet a light and refined appearance while creating an attractive contrast with the richly grained rosewood body.
The carefully selected rosewood displays a beautiful variation in grain and warm tones throughout, particularly across the sliding doors and top.
The sideboard remains in very good condition, with only minor signs of age and use consistent with its age. The rosewood retains a beautiful warm appearance and the doors, drawers and interior remain in good functional condition.
A highly decorative and unusual example of Danish modern design from the 1960s, combining excellent storage capacity with refined detailing and a particularly elegant appearance.
