The box features a … Read more A beautiful Antique French porcelain hinged jewelry casket or trinket box crafted in the Sèvres style.

The box features a soft, celestial blue ground accented by hand-painted vignettes of exotic birds in natural landscapes on the lid and lower trim.
The central scenes are bordered by finely detailed raised gilt scrollwork and floral chains. The pristine white glazed interior features hand-painted floral sprays on both the bottom and inner lid.

The box is framed with a hand-fitted gilt brass or bronze rim with a hinge and decorative front clasp.

The underside is hand-painted with the classic interlaced "LL" monogram mark alongside a block-text "MADE IN FRANCE" export stamp, dating this piece to the late 1800s or early 1900s.

6"L x 4"D x 2.5"H

In great vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
Minor quirks to note: the metal framework does not align perfectly at the corners (on right side), the base has a slight wobble/does not sit 100% flat on hard surfaces, and there is a minor production dimple near the clasp.
