Charming early 19th-century French salt box dating to circa 1820, crafted in walnut and featuring beautifully figured burl walnut drawer fronts. The box has a practical lift lid and a lower drawer, offering both distinctive character and functional storage.
The warm walnut construction is complemented by brass detailing, while the burl walnut drawer face adds visual depth and natural variation to the piece. Its compact yet tall form makes it an unusual and decorative example of early 19th-century French kitchen storage.
A wonderful addition to a collection of French country antiques, antique boxes, or rustic European kitchen accessories.
