A wonderful antique Victorian satin wood writing table / desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1850-1870 period.
It is of outstanding quality, with gorgeous satin wood grain patterns and colour tones throughout. It stands on beautifully turned legs with lovely beaded details at the top, the back is also nicely finished so this can be used as a free standing item. The inset brown leather top has gold tooling around the edge, and compliments the light wood tone beautifully.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. The leather has acquired a gorgeous colour and patina with just the right amount of wear.
