An architectural wall art composition composed of an early 20th-century Chinese carved giltwood panel, mounted on a solid wood backplate with a 2 cm floating gap — a striking focal point for a hallway, study, or intimate interior. The deep relief carving and rich patina bring a quiet, grounded presence to contemporary interiors.
Originally part of an interior screen or window grille, this carved wood panel carries a rich, dark patina developed over a century. Traces of original gilt are still visible, softened by time into a warm, subtle glow. Hand-carved details showcase traditional Chinese woodworking at its most honest.
Mounted on a custom floating backplate (45 cm W × 25 cm H), the piece is ready to hang with pre-installed hardware. The back panel and accessories are new; the antique panel shows authentic age wear consistent with its century-old history.
One-of-a-kind original.
