Known for her deep influence on the mid-century Pacific Northwest and Alaskan art scenes, Shadrach expertly captures a striking glacial valley nestled between rugged mountain peaks.Executed with heavy impasto and dynamic palette knife work, the piece showcases incredible sculptural texture, bringing the dimensional qualities of snow, ice, and rock faces to life. The front bears the artist's signature hallmark "Shadrach" signature.

Adding to its provenance, the reverse features a handwritten notation: "Painted on KAKM Auction 1985." This connects the piece directly to the historic annual televised art auction fundraiser for Anchorage's public broadcasting station, where prominent local artists created or donated works live on-air.

The painting is housed in its original 1980s metallic-trimmed wood frame with a classic textured cream fabric liner. A rare, well-preserved piece of regional American art history, perfect for rustic modern cabins, lodge aesthetics, or fine art collections. See less
