Elegant and resolutely sculptural, this “jill” wall lamp, produced by arteluce, embodies the grand tradition of italian design where light becomes a material.
created by a trio of italian and british designers working for the manufacturer arteluce:

it was designed in the late 1970s (around 1977–1978) for arteluce (which would later become part of flos).
the composition rests on a subtle balance between geometric tension and organic softness:
a polished brass horizontal arm supports an opal glass diffuser with floating contours, seemingly suspended in space.

mirrored brass captures and reflects its surroundings, creating a constant dialogue with the architecture.
the opal glass diffuses an enveloping light, without any direct light source.
