After studying historical monuments in Paris, he contributed to major post-WWII restorations including Notre-Dame de Paris and the Château de Vincennes. Alongside his restoration career, he created an immense body of private work in his studio, featuring technical, organic abstract plaster reliefs that were finally revealed to the public during a major studio auction in 2024.His most famous public masterpiece is the bronze Jean Moulin Monument in Saint-Étienne, which honors the French Resistance hero in his iconic hat and scarf. Longeon also created the prominent Monument to the Resistance and Deportation in Feurs, as well as numerous sacred statues, madonnas, and religious bas-reliefs for French churches like Notre-Dame de la Garde.
