A striking, professionally framed mid-century memento celebrating the legendary Brazilian soprano Bidu Sayão (1902–1999) during her iconic 16-season run at the Metropolitan Opera.
This beautifully curated piece features a vintage color illustration of Sayão on the balcony portraying her most celebrated tragic heroine, Violetta Valéry, from Act I of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera La Traviata. Mounted directly below the portrait is an authentic, crisp fountain pen ink signature cleanly executed by the artist.
The presentation is exceptional, utilizing a classic textured wood vintage frame that measures 19.5 inches high by 15 inches wide.
