A matched pair of Danish oak lounge chairs by Henning Kjærnulf, produced in the 1960s and offered with the original ottoman — a complete set in excellent vintage condition. Kjærnulf's lounge seating is known for the quality of its oak carving and the comfort of its proportions, and this pair reflects both. The carved frames have the warm density of solid Danish oak; the striped green upholstery gives each chair a period presence that reads naturally in a Scandinavian Modern interior or any room where collected pieces matter more than matched sets.
At just over 31 inches wide and with a seat depth of 20.5 inches, these are chairs designed to be used rather than displayed. The ottoman adds the final element that makes the set complete. Minor water spots to the frames and two small holes to the upholstery are the only concessions to age; otherwise clean, sturdy, and odor-free. Unmarked.
