The substantial opal, estimated at approximately 10 carats, is framed within an elaborate openwork teardrop setting. Delicate scrolling motifs sweep symmetrically around the central stone and are extensively set with small diamond accents, estimated at approximately 0.8 carats in total.

Particularly attractive is the contrast between the warm gilded silver framework and the paler, diamond-set detailing. The ornate diamond-set bail continues the decoration above the pendant, giving the entire piece an elegant elongated silhouette.

The design is strongly Art Deco inspired, combining geometric symmetry with delicate scrolling ornament. At 5 cm long, it is a generously sized pendant with considerable presence while retaining a refined, lace-like appearance.

The pendant is crafted in gilded 925 silver and is unmarked.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition with light age-related wear. 2 small diamond accent is missing from the upper section of the bail, visible in the last photograph. The loss is relatively unobtrusive.
