we love its extra-large size, with a fairly deep lower section featuring two side cabinets with doors, central drawers, and three horizontal glass-fronted cabinets. The upper section consists of a very large three-door glass-fronted cabinet opening onto three spacious levels of storage.
the shelves and lower glass-fronted cabinets are painted black, creating a lovely contrast with the gilded wood.
the four wide and deep drawers are topped with original floral cast-iron shell handles.
the two side cabinets close with latches. There is a black central shelf (which does not extend to the back of the cabinet). There is no shelf at the bottom; this is original, but if you would like one added, please let us know before you leave.
the three horizontal glass-fronted cabinets have new panes.
the three upper glass-fronted cabinets close with wooden handle knobs and latches. Most of the glass panes are original bubble glass, but two have been replaced in the past.
decorative cornice at the top.
the wood retains its original patina, so imperfections, signs of wear, flaws, and variations in color may be present. Please refer to the numerous photos.
the top of the piece can be separated from the bottom for transport.

the back panel is now made of plywood and is in very good condition.
