A richly detailed and rare ecclesiastical figure stand, originally commissioned for a church or private chapel in Southern Europe (Italy or Spain). Dating from the late 18th to early 19th century, this piece is carved in the high Baroque style with deeply sculpted scrolling volutes and a central gilded cartouche.

The stand retains its traditional polychrome finish, featuring layers of burnished gold leaf over an oxblood red "bole" and earthy tones—a color palette specifically designed to glow under candlelight.
