This rectangular mirror, with its retro charm, features a turned wood frame imitating bamboo, with its characteristic circular striations evoking the plant's natural nodes. The uprights extend beyond the four corners in tapered points, a typical feature of the "faux bamboo" style, very popular in France in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a period when the craze for colonial exoticism and chinoiserie strongly influenced furniture and decoration.

The glass, which has a slight patina (age stains on the bottom of the mirror, see photo on white background), attests to the piece's age without detracting from its charm.
