The frame sweeps in a continuous curve from the left curve, across the corner, to the wide, flared right side—the backrest follows this line as well, instead of interrupting it with a sharp angle. At both ends, the sofa is semicircular, creating the impression of a single, curved volume. The ruby-red smooth leather accentuates this effect: because the light travels across the curves, soft gradients of brightness are created where an angular sofa would only show flat surfaces. Chrome plinth panels run along the base of the frame, following its contours and raising the structure just above the floor. They are the only hard material on the entire piece of furniture and, precisely for this reason, provide a striking contrast to the soft leather. Inside, you'll find a spacious seating area with six back cushions and a seat that wraps around the corner—designed for gatherings where everyone is meant to face each other, rather than sitting side-by-side in one direction.
