Measuring a grand 3 feet by 3 feet (36” x 36”), this large-scale square statement piece features a highly structural, high-relief cast paper design that captures a geological, abstract landscape. The composition is beautifully rendered in a vibrant late-20th-century palette of teal, magenta, and soft earthy tones embedded directly into the thick, handmade pulp. Because the piece bears the artist’s direct signature in pencil along the lower right corner without any edition markings or numbers, this stands as a rare, one-of-a-kind masterwork rather than a multiple print. The organic, deckled edges of the heavy paper are beautifully intact, offering a stunning dimensional quality that shifts with the light.About the Artist:After receiving his BA and MA in Fine Art from the University of Wisconsin, Richard Royce traveled to France to study under Stanley William Hayter at the legendary Atelier 17. Upon returning to the United States, Royce became a visionary director and master printer, founding Atelier Royce. He achieved significant acclaim not only for his own pioneering 3D cast paper commissions but also for collaborating with twentieth-century masters—including Roy Lichtenstein, Larry Rivers, James Rosenquist, and George Segal—to help them realize their visions in advanced dimensional print media.Condition:Excellent vintage condition. The artwork remains pristine and unframed, safely preserved flat on a heavy protective backing board enclosed in temporary plastic wrap. The deckled paper edges are unflattened and completely undamaged, leaving it perfectly ready for high-end custom shadowbox framing to suit your space.Dimensions:Height: 31 inches Width: 24 inchesDepth: See less
