Midcentury bentwood armchair with cane seat by the renowned workshop of Salvatore Leone, Italy, 1960s. This piece is a masterful 20th century interpretation of the iconic "Cafe Daum," Vienna chair originally designed by Michael Thonet around 1860. It features a highly desirable armchair configuration, showcasing elegant, seamlessly scrolled loop arms that marry with the classic "sweetheart" backrest.
Crafted from steamed bentwood, this chair embodies the lightweight, fluid silhouette reminiscent of Viennese cafes that has become a milestone in modern design. Excellent as a single statement piece, desk/vanity chair or a unique addition to a dining arrangement. The underside retains its original "Made in Italy" label.
