The frame features a high, commanding headboard with a gently arched crest rail accented by carved shell and scroll motifs, flanked by stylized, acanthus-leaf finials on the corner posts. Centered on the main panel of both the headboard and the matching, lower-profile footboard is an intricately carved decorative medallion depicting a stylized pomegranate or floral pod enveloped in flowing foliage. Horizontal paneling stretches across the headboard to add structural depth, while the substantial footboard is bookended by heavy, squared block corner posts. The two structures are connected by thick, matching oak side rails equipped with internal metal brackets to securely support a modern mattress foundation.
