This carved architectural fragment dates to 1920s China. It retains its original dark patina — a surface that only a century of natural aging could produce, impossible to recreate through any treatment. The subtle wear and rich wood tones are a quiet witness to time itself.
The carving features traditional foliate scrollwork — a motif of continuity and growth — with a central floral medallion framed by flowing tendrils.
