Scandinavian style Mid Century still bank. A striking, studio art pottery vessel featuring a removable sculptural horse-head lid, with a coin slot. The tall cylindrical form is finished in a softly variegated blue-gray glaze with freehand cobalt blue striping, applied loop details, and an expressive horse finial accented in olive green, black, and warm rust tones.
The underside bears a large incised maker’s mark or monogram; artist unknown. Four protective pads are attached to the base. An unusual and highly decorative piece of studio pottery with wonderful handmade character.
