Elegant late-19th-century oil portrait attributed to British painter William Henry Pike (1846–1908), depicting a fashionable woman in profile wearing an elaborate evening dress with floral and feather adornments.
The work is inscribed “Henry Pike / Paris - 99,” indicating Paris, 1899. An estate-sale provenance label on the reverse further identifies the artist as William Henry Pike and records the work as an oil painting executed in Paris in 1899.

Pike was elected to the Royal Society of British Artists in 1889 and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 1890.
