Measuring a generous 16 inches square, each box features solid wood casing construction. The exterior panels are beautifully hand-painted with a highly stylized, symmetrical gilt-and-brown acanthus scrollwork layout over a patinated, textured ochre-gold back ground.

Designed to seamlessly camouflage office clutter into a refined home library, office or living space, the hinged tops open to reveal a spacious interior fully lined in a luxurious brown velveteen fabric. This protective velveteen lining extends completely across the inner walls and inner bottom floors. Velvet further covers the base so scratching tabletop not a concern when actively used. The boxes come equipped with integrated metal support rails specifically sized for standard letter hanging file folders, an internal metal lid-stay hinge to hold the top safely upright during use, and a small metal pull knob on the front. For ease of mobility, both chests feature sturdy, matching drop handles on either side.
