The elongated arrowhead features a sharply pointed tip, deeply notched shoulders, and a tapered central stem. Its irregularly faceted surface evokes the appearance of ancient flint-knapping, while polished passages allow light to penetrate the stone and illuminate its natural shades of olive, celadon, honey green, and cloudy white.
The pale, luminous character of the onyx is beautifully contrasted by the architectural black marble base, giving the sculpture a commanding vertical presence. At nearly two feet tall, it makes an impressive focal point on a console, pedestal, library table, or within a collection of natural-history and archaeological-inspired objects.
