The cabinet design and craftsmanship exemplify the functional, carefully detailed case furniture associated with Danish modern design of the period. This expertly-crafted two-piece cabinet combines open display shelving with extensive closed storage. The upper section features three vertical sections with open adjustable and removable shelves. The lower cabinet features two doors opening to divided interior storage with adjustable shelves. The cabinet is fitted with distinctive original brass pulls, exposed brass hardware and dovetailed joinery detail at the legs. Raised on a separate removable base, the cabinet can be disassembled into three components for easier transport. This versatile cabinet is well-suited as a bookcase cabinet, display cabinet, library cabinet or general storage cabinet. Both upper and lower sections retain their original Løvig Dansk Designs Denmark stamps on back.

CONDITION
Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Solid and sturdy. General surface wear expected with age and normal use, including scratches, scuffs and marks throughout, with more scratching and wear to the horizontal surfaces, including the top of the lower cabinet. Some fading and color variation to the wood, including lighter areas beneath the adjustable shelves visible if the shelves are repositioned. Upper hutch has a subtle repair to veneer at upper center. Brass hardware retains an aged patina.
