a striking piece of 1970s ceramic design, this handmade table lamp blurs the line between functional lighting and abstract sculpture. Its wonderfully expressive base is formed from sweeping, intertwined curves, creating a different silhouette from every angle. Finished in a deep charcoal-black/dark green surface with subtle lighter green tones, the ceramic has a beautifully aged, almost patinated appearance that accentuates the lamp’s organic form. There is something distinctly playful and experimental about the design — characteristic of the freer approach to ceramics and interiors of the 1970s.
