A handsome vintage seven-drawer pedestal writing desk manufactured by American Furniture Co. of Martinsville, Virginia, later known as American of Martinsville.
The desk features a warm reddish-brown mahogany finish, a gently shaped front, spacious central kneehole, tapered bracket-style feet, and seven storage drawers. Original-style brass ring pulls and decorative backplates complement its traditional Federal Revival design.
The manufacturer’s metal label remains attached inside one of the drawers. A substantial and functional piece suitable for a home office, library, bedroom, or traditional interior.
