Titled Horse Racers (賽馬圖 - Sài Mǎ Tú), this dynamic artwork features vibrant red, blue, and black ink depicting traditional rider figures in full gallop.

Hand-signed, titled, dated 1985, and numbered 4/50 in pencil along the lower margin. The reverse includes the original artist bio label from the Painters' Village (画之家) in Chongqing, Sichuan Province, China.

Artist Biography Niu Wen was a seminal figure in modern Chinese graphic art. Trained at the famous Yanan Lu Xun Academy of Arts starting in 1940, he went on to serve as Secretary-General of the Sichuan Provincial Artists' Association and Vice-Chairman of the Sichuan Artists' Association. His woodcut works are held in major museum collections globally and celebrated for their powerful linework and cultural storytelling.
