A striking vintage Asian Modern armchair retailed by John Stuart Inc. of New York. The chair features a tall architectural back with a narrow woven cane panel, gracefully curved open arms, slender legs, and a removable upholstered seat in an elegant gold and muted multicolor paisley fabric.
The dark navy-black lacquered frame gives the chair a sophisticated Chinoiserie-inspired appearance. The original John Stuart Inc. and Pennsylvania upholstery labels remain attached beneath the seat.
A distinctive statement chair suitable for a dining room, entryway, bedroom, dressing area, or collected interior.
