The lamp is part of the same series as Rietveld’s celebrated Panama series (model 6350), yet this version distinguishes itself with a smaller, conical shade that gives it a more refined and restrained silhouette. Its design exemplifies Rietveld’s approach to functionalism, pure, balanced, and without unnecessary ornament, a style that continues to define the post-war Dutch design identity.
