this distinctive minimalist lighting piece embraces an almost conceptual approach to lighting design. Rather than concealing the electrical components behind a conventional shade, the design makes the bare light bulb itself the central feature, secured against a solid wooden mounting board with visible metal nails.

the deliberately raw construction gives the lamp a sculptural, almost architectural quality, combining functional lighting with an element of visual humour and industrial simplicity. It is an excellent example of the experimental scandinavian design language of the later 20th century.

the lamp retains its original designer attribution label marked “design anders jansson ark sar sir”, providing an important connection to the designer and his architectural practice.
