12pc Antique GDA Limoges France Fruit/Berry Bowls White w/Gold Etched Rim Parmelee-Dohrmann
Made in France c.1901 - 1941.
Each Approx. 1 1/4" High x 5 1/8" Diameter x 5 1/8" Deep.
Stunning, complete matching set of twelve (12) authentic antique individual berry/fruit bowls.
Crafted in the historic porcelain region of Limoges, France, these fine porcelain blanks were manufactured and hand-decorated directly in-house by GDA (Gérard, Dufraisseix & Abbot).
This particular set features a highly elegant, wide, heavily etched metallic gold rim with a classical scrollwork design.
The underside of each bowl proudly bears three distinct back stamps: the green GDA underglaze manufacturing mark, the red GDA overglaze decorating studio wreath mark, and the custom orange retailer stamp for the prestigious Parmelee-Dohrmann Company—Southern California's premier turn-of-the-century luxury department store.
Due to their age, these items are strictly hand-wash only and are not microwave safe.
Excellent antique condition given its 100+ year history. All 12 pieces are structural sound. No cracks, no hairline fractures, no spidering crazing, and no repairs. The gold-etched pattern remains remarkably bright and thick across the set. There is only very minimal, standard vintage shelf-wear/rubbing to the gilt edges from historical stacking. Please review all high-resolution photos closely, as they serve as the definitive visual part of the condition description.
