Up for sale is a high quality antique pewter lidded Mettlach, German pottery beer stein made in the 19th century by Villeroy & Boch.
It's made out of thick pottery walls and has hand painted fraises underneath each sfigural relief scene.
The stein has a nice applied handle which is mounted with a hinged pewter mounted pottery lid.
The hinge has an ornate thumb-piece and is signed underneath.
It is in good condition and measures 8 1/2 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide.
