This is a small antique collector’s cabinet / specimen cabinet, designed as a decorative piece for storing precious objects, curiosities, documents, or collections.

A refined rectangular cabinet with a classical, architectural silhouette. It has a broad stepped plinth base, a projecting cornice top, and a symmetrical two-door façade.
Wood: The cabinet is finished in a rich warm reddish-brown timber tone, with visible grain and a polished surface. The colour has the depth and warmth associated with aged mahogany, walnut, or fine dark hardwood veneers.
Doors: Two tall hinged doors dominate the front, each inset with a large decorative panel. The doors have simple raised framing, giving the piece a restrained Georgian / early 19th-century character.

The central door panels are made with an unusual figured burr wood with organic swirling organic patterns
These panels create a striking contrast against the dark timber surround.
The cabinet has understated dark metal/brass detailing, including a small central key escutcheon and fine edging around the inset panels.
The stepped moulded base gives it the appearance of a miniature architectural cabinet or library piece rather than a simple box.
