Ludwig Straub
Painter, draftsman, printmaker.
Attended the Mannheim School of Applied Arts and the Free Academy in Barcelona. He undertook study trips to Rome, the Near East, North Africa, Sumatra, India, China, Japan, and the Philippines, and lived in Paris for an extended period.
Ludwig Straub resided and worked in Seeheim an der Bergstraße (Domweg 3) and in Mannheim.
In addition to his work as an artist, Straub also worked as a decorator and interior designer for companies.
Ludwig Straub primarily painted figurative works, landscapes, and still lifes in an expressively realistic style. He also created murals and mosaics.
