19th Century Wooden and Lacquered Column Pedestal Stand in Marble Imitation
An elegant decorative stand with a cylindrical shaft resting on a substantial square base of molded wood.
The shaft is beautifully colored in shades of cream, beige, and gray, with a particularly decorative natural grain.
It is framed at the top and base by wide turned wooden elements.
The upper section supports a square wooden top, while the tiered base provides excellent stability and an architectural appearance reminiscent of classical columns.
An ideal decorative piece for displaying a sculpture, bronze, vase, or collectible.
Beautiful combination of wood with a warm patina.
Period: 19th century
