This room-size rug is a captivating example of Tabriz artistry that masterfully incorporates a highly desirable and unusual all-over geometric Caucasian Kuba pattern. The rug's design is reminiscent of the celebrated 19th-century Caucasian Kuba and Shirvan rugs, known for their bold geometric forms and striking palettes. This particular pattern, known as ""Afshan,"" features stylized dragons and blossoms woven throughout the field, a unique and masterful interpretation within the Persian Tabriz tradition. This rug is in wonderful condition, a testament to its quality and craftsmanship.
