Robert Gallon (British, 1845–1925) was a respected Victorian landscape painter, especially known for naturalistic views of rivers, Welsh and English countryside, woodlands, cottages, and occasionally coastal settings.
Gallon was born in Deptford, Kent, to artist Robert Samuel Ennis Gallon. He exhibited from the late 1860s and showed regularly at leading London venues, including the Royal Academy, where he exhibited 32 works between 1873 and 1903.
Works by Robert Gallon are held in UK public collections including Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery, Williamson Art Gallery & Museum, the Richmond Collection, and the National Library of Wales
